general medicine, surgery, equine and small animal health
care.
Richard H. Hall,
DVM
Earned his DVM from the
University of Florida's College of Veterinary
Medicine in June of 1982.
Specializes in small animal and
equine dentistry; small animal orthopedic medicine and
surgery. Dr. Hall has earned Masters level training in
periodontics, endodontics, restorations and crowns,
orthodontics, oral surgery, oral orthopedic surgery and oral
pathology.
Dr. Hall grew up on a ranch in
Arcadia, Florida with a lifelong passion for animals. After
attending veterinary school, he returned to Southwest
Florida to practice veterinary medicine. He established
Southwest Florida Veterinary Services in November of
1989.
Kym Van Orsdell
Dr. Kimberly V. Van Orsdell is
originally from New Jersey and attended the University of
Scranton as an undergraduate. After her undergraduate
studies, she attended the University of Pennsylvania School
of Veterinarian Medicine where she met and married her
husband, Dr. Frank Berrish. They have lived in Southwest
Florida since 1985.
Dr. Van Orsdell has worked in
various animal hospitals, including emergency clinics in our
area. She worked at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Port
Charlotte for 9 years, from its inception in 1992. She has
since been doing veterinarian relief work in our area before
joining Southwest Florida Veterinary Services on March 12,
2008.
On her days off, Dr. Van Orsdell
and her husband enjoy taking trips on their scooter. They
also enjoy taking care of their horse, goats, chickens, pig,
dogs and bird on their mini-farm.
